Hiking - Walking: Walton, Trimley and Felixstowe. Wind Direction: Wind Stength: Surf / Sea State: Air Temperature: 7 Sea Temperature: Weather: sunny start then mainly cloudy but chilly. Max Speed: Distance Covered: 3.50 miles (Nautical Miles - unless stated otherwise)
Tuesday 11th March - walks *** – Walton, Trimley and Felixstowe –
sunny start then cloudy and cold.
Walk 1 – Walton and Trimley St. Mary.
With the wind switching round to the north the temperature has certainly
dropped but I decided to head in the van at 8.30 to make the most of the
sunshine to take some weather pics. First stop was Walton Church to check
if the magnolia bulbs were out, sadly not yet but they are close so took a
couple of the daffs:) I then continued onto Station Road, over the railway
line to Cordy’s Lane where I parked and walked down for a bit and got
some lovely pics of the trees with some nice clouds but sadly none were
chosen as TV weather pics:(
Walk 2 – Around Felixstowe.
On reaching home to sort out my pics and my porridge was very welcome to
warm me up, exercises done indoors now being too cold outside. I then made
yummy cheese on toast before heading out on our daily walk, down to
Felixstowe seafront back through the Spa gardens and through the town for a
few things, then being a Tuesday we headed to old friend Mary for a cuppa
and cake before heading for home via the town centre and back along the
clifftop. With the cold weather continuing we have no plans for the rest of
the week?
